Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Sep 24, 2009 9:45 am I'm hoping someone can put my mind at ease. We had our colour app on Tuesday and I had my heart set on a particular profile from the Laminex range. I only realised at our app that this profile only comes in the Colourtech range and more specifically the Textured profile doors.
I am now very concerned about the look and the cleaning of textured door profiles - does anyone have a textured door profile and can you provide me with any feedback? I was hoping for just a smooth, simple finish as I want a classic white kitchen with not much fuss or gloss. I have also chosen a very basic colour of White!! Hence, my concern of cleaning! I think the thing that is worrying me the most is - does the 'texture' create dirt collecting holes and crevices which will end up looking terrible? Many Thanks in advance!!! Re: Colourtech textured profile doors - advice please 2Sep 24, 2009 10:18 am Hi RhinoCharlie, This is my kitchen in Melbourne after 2 and 1/2 years. It is in alabaster with Polytec textured profile vinyl wrap doors. As I said, I was only there for 2 1/2 years after we did our reno, and so can't testify to the long term effects, but I loved my doors. I actually prefer the textured finish to the gloss (I think textured looks more classic somehow) and have gone for textured again in my new kitchen. Anyway, hope that helps a little.
