Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Sep 17, 2009 4:45 pm After many months of planning our kitchen is almost there - one week until it is installed and I can't believe that I will finally have drawers that open, a dishwasher, a pantry ... all the things that I've missed for so many years! Anyway, I've been getting quotes for the benchtop which will be Quantum Quartz, Dawn, 40mm, one island bench and an L-shaped bench in a fairly small kitchen. I have got a quote for $2500, one for $3300 and one for $3600 .... all from companies that have been recommended to us as good. Does anyone else find this difference in price FOR EXACTLY THE SAME THING amazing? We have gone with the $2500 quote, and I double checked it, told him about the others and asked him why he was so much cheaper (he said, its a cash price and they order a lot of that product so can keep prices down), but I'm still shocked .... The first was $6k, the second was $9k and the last still hasn't come back as it was over $10k ![]() Am expecting the same outcome over the next two days with the blind / venetian companies as well!! You got to love building / renovating ![]() Some things are worth waiting for.
