My old 70's style gas actually still low burns very well and has never gone out.
I have a very open mind for new technology but I'm also concerned for my and others health. re the blackouts, I've lived semi-rural (50km from cities) for the last 15 years so blackouts were not infrequent and takeway Well a nice thought at least? Plus I lived in Brissy during the months of Bjelke Peterson blackouts in QLD in the 80's, where our familay gas stove was a saviour. But the BBQ was wood back then - Wow how things have changed. We've decided to get a new gas bbq once we move and we will be putting in a wood heater which we can put a kettle on. so In the event of blackout at least we can have some snags and a cuppa tea in winter. In summer a sandwich or a can of baked beans and a tap water will have to suffice. Hi everyone!
