Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Aug 26, 2009 10:25 pm Hi All Im new to this forum and really need some help. We are currently building a new house and the kitchen was installed 2 days ago. I love the Caesarstone bench tops in Snow and the underbench colour in Formica Limed Ash. The overhead cupboards are a white laminex colour which does not match at all to the caesarstone colour. I need suggestion please.... what colour can I do the overhead cupboards which match the stone. I want it to be as similar as possible to the Snow colour, so it almost looks like it is the Caesarstone. I am also happy to pay the extra and get gloss wrapped doors... any suggestions please!! Re: HELP!!! Kitchen Cupboard Colours 2Aug 26, 2009 10:55 pm Can you post a pic? Is it that you think the white overheads are too stark, too bright white or too creamy yellow compared to the benchtop? Do u know exactly which white laminex colour they are? Re: HELP!!! Kitchen Cupboard Colours 3Aug 26, 2009 11:04 pm I don't have a photo to show you. The problem is the cupboards are too cream against the snow caesarstone. I need a more white colour. Re: HELP!!! Kitchen Cupboard Colours 5Aug 27, 2009 12:24 am It a glass splashback in a dark brown colour, to match the Formica Laminate. Re: HELP!!! Kitchen Cupboard Colours 6Aug 27, 2009 2:53 am Hi there, Parbury has a nice soft white that is not too glaring...it's called Sand white and also goes nicely with Caesarstone's Ice Snow (Or Quantum Quartz's Snow). I see that you're having Laminex/Formica doors...so maybe they would have something similar to Parbury's Sand White. I have a spare sample with me...if you're interested in having a sample, PM me and I'll post it off to you? Otherwise, you can try Parbury's website to request for a sample...but last I checked, their sample service online wasn't working. At least, when you have a look at Parbury's Sand White, you can compare it to Laminex/Formica's own range.... I like a dark brown splashback I have a Nougat benchtop and underbench cupboards are White Laminex 2 pak, the overheads are white glass. Anyway, the "White Laminex" is a good clean white, not a brilliant white. Is Snow whiter than Nougat? It sounds like it would be.... I feel a photo coming on This is Laminex White with Nougat benchtop, the Nougat is creamier than the cupboards and the white glass on top Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: HELP!!! Kitchen Cupboard Colours 8Aug 27, 2009 1:38 pm Your Kitchen is beautiful SUH.... can you give me a little more information on your bottom cupboards. Are they gloss and is the colour called 'White' in the Laminex range? Yes Snow is a lighter and whiter then Nougat, do you think the white would still match? Re: HELP!!! Kitchen Cupboard Colours 9Aug 27, 2009 1:46 pm HOme builder, Do you have a sample of your stone tops.......If so go down to the Laminex showroom on Scarb Bch Rd and get it matched there. They are very helpful and its a free service....they have the laminex and formica samples and its a showroom aswell. They are the agent for E$$a stone so they won't have other stone samples so its easier to take your own. I have just come back from there this morning and they also give you large samples to take home Re: HELP!!! The bottom cupboards are "White" in the Laminex range, "Polar White" is even whiter and a very crisp white white. I think the "White" would go very well, it is still a white white unless you get it near the Polar White then it looks a bit less White Re: HELP!!! Kitchen Cupboard Colours 11Oct 26, 2009 8:22 pm Hi I googled Formica Limed Ash and this post came up. We are in the process of selecting kitchen laminates and Formica Limed Ash is top of our list for door/drawer and benchtop at the moment. Our cabinet maker has made us aware that woodgrain laminates that have a variety of grain in the laminate might not look as good as a smaller consistent grained laminates. Limed Ash has a variety of large & small grains - were you happy with the end result? We are looking at running the laminate grain horizontally on the doors/drawers. I would be greatful for any feedback and/or photos as we love this laminate. Cheers, Yvie_T Hi I bought an old cupboard that is in desperate need of some TLC. I was seeking some advice as to the best product to use to give it an oil but also bring it to life a… 0 3436 You never have a fridge against wall as you’ve drawn. The doors can’t open past 90 degrees and it’s difficult and maybe impossible to remove drawers 2 15586 |
