I notice that many brands of dishwashers suggest that they need only be connected up to the cold water supply with presumably a heating element within the device to raise the water to the required temperature. Is it essential that only cold water be connected? Why not connect up the hot water instead? Must surely save a lot of time over the washing cycle if hot water was used.
