Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Jul 28, 2009 8:56 pm I am trying to fit all my cupbaord along the back wall in my kitchen design, using the standard ready made sizes and have just realised that I need to make allowances for 2 edge panels either side of the pantry as they will be seen so will end up 2cm short. There is a pre existing wall. I was at the laminex place today and the guy said i could buy one cupboard bigger and cut it down to fit. Having it cut down by a cabinet maker would be fine except i want the fineline aluminium framed doors. Does anyone know if its even possible for a cabinet maker to trim down those sort of doors. Is it hard to get a flat pack to fit exactly? I'm thinking it might be easier to order the size down and just have a fake board to fill in the 8cm gap near the wall but am worried that if that is just a fraction too big i will also have problems fitting it in. The laminex quote i got back was just over $4000 for the flat pack so i'm going to try and make it work in my space because i have my heart set on a granite or stone top. I'll go to the laminex show room next week and see if they have any ideas.
