Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Jul 28, 2009 2:59 pm We have had some problems with a chemical reaction of some sort on our benchtops so the builder is replacing the laminate only.(wont use the same brand) We currently have dark, 50mm square edge tops and where thinking of going light instead. Only problem is if we go light colour with a square edge will the joins be really noticable. Does anyone have closeups of this? I will post a pic as soon as I can. Built a modified "Daydream 279" .. It is hard to find on the internet so I might ring laminex tomorrow. Otherwise, I know the joins will make me mental,so unless I can persuade the other (more budget conscious) half to go quantum quartz, I will probably go a mid colour -eg Laminex toffee stone or Kashmir Granite.
