Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Jul 14, 2009 5:33 pm We are currently doing our kitchen and I was wondering do people have holes cut in their glass splashbacks for powerpoints? In our proposed kitchen it seems like the logical place to put them but with a big beautifiul piece of glass it seems like it will ruin the wow factor. Re: Power points in your splashback? 3Jul 14, 2009 6:55 pm dstann but with a big beautifiul piece of glass it seems like it will ruin the wow factor. Use the Clipsal Saturn powerpoints so it blends in, depending on colour of course. I'll be doing silver glass so the ocean mist colour should blend in well. Do you have upright cupboards next to where the splashback will be. Thats one spot i'm planning to put mine but will probably still have one powerpoint cut into the glass. Re: Power points in your splashback? 8Jul 14, 2009 11:04 pm We can't afford a glass splashback at the moment. But we have specified on our electrical plan that our power points will be on the side of the kitchen, so that when we do get the splashback we won't have a powerpoint in it. Re: Power points in your splashback? 9Jul 14, 2009 11:26 pm We are having our power point installed into our overhead cupboards. We are having 2 downlights installed into the underside of the overhead and also the power point. I was concerned about seeing the side of it protrude out but we are cutting into the cupboard so its sits flush. Does this make sense? It's up to you. Exactly what I was able to do themax, only thing is the electric frypan doesn't reach to go under the exhaust, but this makes me use the cooktop more with a normal frypan...can you watch B&B for me today, he's doing what I said loser Re: Power points in your splashback? 12Jul 15, 2009 12:03 pm SuH, I didn't think of the elec frypan issue and the vent, but that's ok because I don't HAVE an electric frypan As long as the kettle can sit out from the cupboards, that's all I need (for a cup of tea- only Dilmah- of course ) (Yes, SuH sure, will pm u at 5.
