Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Jul 11, 2009 4:44 pm Hi folks, First time poster, long time reader...I think registering ages ago would have helped me come to terms with the fact that we chose Australia's worst builder for our house! Anyway...the straw that has broken the camels back is that the builder has put in our rangehood this week and surprise surprise, it is not the same rangehood identified in our specifications and therefore does not work within the kitchen that the cabinetmakers constructed for us (i.e. cupboards based on the rangehood having a canopy/flue) the piece of crap rangehood that he's put in doesn't have a flue at all...he told my husband this afternoon that one could be added to the rangehood. Is this total BS?? Shouldn't we just be saying to him, rip that wrong one out and give us the one in the specs that will actually fit with the kitchen that we have?? We are first time builders if you didn't already guess...anyone had this situation before? cheers! Options can be: - vertical flue - wall exhaust - recirculate into the kitchen. My current rangehood (fixed and non-hidden old fashion type) has all 3 options. Rangehood comes with 3 knockout panels. Suggest you google your model and find its features/spec. Chris 4 9070 Old Home Restoration / Renovation Cheers mate! This is exactly what I was thinking but wasn't sure if it was something I'd find on the shelf. I agree with you, fixing the brackets to the board will look… 2 3286 2 10988 |
