Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Jul 09, 2009 1:44 pm hello all, need opinions, we are having a 1200mm island bench with waterfall ends,i want it to be 60mm thick, my problem is our kitchen people said if we go caesarstone their will be a join showing, running along between the two slabs, just wondering just how visible this join is???? if we go caesar stone it will be most likely "ice stone".The other option is bellastone, has anyone used this product? happy or not happy etc, any onfo would be much appreciated thanks!! any photos would be good Re: Bellastone or Caesar stone??? 2Jul 09, 2009 2:16 pm What is the length and width of the bench? C'stone slabs are approx 1300 wide by 3.something long. We are having an island bench that is 1.2m w by 4m long - so we will have two slabs butting up to each other near the sink. As long as your stonemason is skilled the join should be pretty unnoticeable unless you look for it. Some things are worth waiting for. Re: Bellastone or Caesar stone??? 4Jul 09, 2009 6:43 pm hi all, maybe i worded it wrong I'm talking about to get the thickness of 60mm i need 1 slab on top of the other, there fore the join running horizontally along it, sorry for the misunderstanding Re: Bellastone or Caesar stone??? 5Jul 09, 2009 8:10 pm Normally the slabs are 20mm thick so for 40mm they join two together but anything thicker they just mitre the edge and join a false front. We are having 80mm for our island and appliance bench with a smaller 40mm waterfall on the central raised area on our island. This is how the stonemason we are using does it. Again the join should almost be seamless - especially if it is a mitre joint. Some things are worth waiting for. Thankyou for your advice. We do have Caesar coming out and hopefully resolve the issue for us. 4 19008 Dear Members I have to decide the Facade column size.
