Re: Review - Samsung Fridge SRS702GDHSS 163Feb 24, 2010 11:13 pm I want a SRS702GDHSS too, also looking at a dishwasher, front loader washing machine and dryer. Any recommendations? I can trade in my old B.... white goods. My current fridge is a F and P, its just holding onto its last legs, water gathers in the fruit and vegie draws. Re: Review - Samsung Fridge SRS702GDHSS 165Mar 01, 2010 6:17 pm I went to the G Guys and got a closer look at a new SRS702GDHSS, does the doors beep if they stay open too long and can you turn off or change the sound? Front access to the drinks would be fantastic. Re: Review - Samsung Fridge SRS702GDHSS 166Mar 01, 2010 7:14 pm Yes it beeps and no you cannot change it... It is a nice beep though! Re: Review - Samsung Fridge SRS702GDHSS 167Mar 03, 2010 1:49 pm perthhomelover I went to the G Guys and got a closer look at a new SRS702GDHSS, does the doors beep if they stay open too long and can you turn off or change the sound? Front access to the drinks would be fantastic. You can't change the sound, but you can switch it off. Re: Review - Samsung Fridge SRS702GDHSS 169Mar 03, 2010 3:25 pm This is a revolution in fridge technology which has allowed SAMSUNG to create a fridge big on the inside without any change to the outside. It's Ultra thin insulation technology and a redesigned interior mean that you can now squeeze a fridge big enough for your family and entertaining, into a normal sized kitchen. All without the need to renovate. Space technology is that you can have more space inside, same space outside. Re: Review - Samsung Fridge SRS702GDHSS 170Mar 04, 2010 9:21 am Homeone should get a kickback from Samsung for the amount of fridges they have sold as a result of this thread. I know I bought mine purely because of this thread. Moved in December 2010 Re: Review - Samsung Fridge SRS702GDHSS 171Mar 04, 2010 10:06 am lol! I wonder if they know about the thread? Stands to reason that they would! Maybe we could all get free filters or something Re: Review - Samsung Fridge SRS702GDHSS 173Mar 17, 2010 11:00 am I find those guys have a-little-bit cheaper Whirlpool filters, same price as Clarence for Samsung filter but with pick-up option in Melbourne ( way too far) http://www.filters4fridges.com.au or http://stores.shop.ebay.com.au/filters4fridges btw, has anyone considered the Whirlpool 6GD5SHGXSS ? Same width & height as the Samsung in this thread, 10cm deeper but 40L bigger, made in USA and a quarter pricier (maybe less). http://www.whirlpool.com.au/app.cnt/whr/au_AU/pageid/pgproddtl001/catid/2/subcatid/6/prodid/45374 Re: Review - Samsung Fridge SRS702GDHSS 174Mar 17, 2010 7:14 pm I have the 640l whirlpool.. pretty much same as that one... filters are real easy to change as they just pop out down the bottom and you don't have to disconnect the water or anything. Or if you don't want to use a filter you just take the filter out and it works as normal.. which is probably what I will do when it runs out as we have pretty good water here in Melb. I got the whirlpool because the 640l one is only 1730mm high and fitted in my spot.. it is very deep though at about 780mm so it does stick out a bit.. if I moved my powerpoint up higher to above the fridge it would be better.. the water point doesn't get in the way as it is up above the fridge. Anyway I love having the crushed ice and water... I've never drank so much water.. the ice bucket is huge and I couldn't see how you could ever empty it unless you took it out to fill up an esky.. Re: Review - Samsung Fridge SRS702GDHSS 175Mar 28, 2010 1:49 pm I have had my SRS702GDHSS fridge since November last year. The fridge has had a few rust spots appearing around the hatch and and other random spots on the door. The door including the hatch has been replaced under warrenty, but now I noticed more rust spots starting to reappear (in the same place as before) as well as the other door near the water and ice dispenser. Am I just unlucky or is this a common fault with this fridge? Has anyone else has had this problem with this fridge? Re: Review - Samsung Fridge SRS702GDHSS 176May 14, 2010 8:42 pm I have just bought the Samsung SRS702GDHSS. Just letting you know that Good Guys have it on sale for $2190 with a bonus of a couple of Jamie Oliver Pans and Cookbook (Value$600). We took the + 3 YR extended warranty at $199 .... Really happy with the price ... and still love the look and design of this fridge. Woo Hoo ... we will have an ice maker Re: Review - Samsung Fridge SRS702GDHSS 177May 14, 2010 10:08 pm OMG Jaelee, did you have to haggle or was this just the price? I Never ended up buying the fridge when they were giving away the TV and have been waiting for another TV giveaway or other bargain. Re: Review - Samsung Fridge SRS702GDHSS 178May 14, 2010 11:08 pm Didn't have to haggle at all. It's on special, plus with the Jamie Oliver promo. Harvey Norman were $2799 and when I told them the Good Guys price they said there is no way they could come near that, it would mean they would be selling at a loss. So good on the Good Guys ... they got our business EDIT: Jamie Oliver promo finishes 31 May Re: Review - Samsung Fridge SRS702GDHSS 179May 26, 2010 10:16 pm I got this fridge too! The 684 model has a gross fridge capacity of 429 litres, while the 702 model's capacity is 448 litres. Or have I got this wrong?
