why do they list the specs as with hinge and without hinge? You obviously need the hinge on I assume!
Same reason they quote the depth without the handles.....what the freak are you supposed to open the doors with?

This is my personal favourite, but my other half is keen on the French door Fisher and Paykel. Her argument is that you can't get 'big platters' in the side by side Samsung. In order to argue my case, I would be grateful if you could tell me what the internal width or the fridge compartment is. Thanks, ***** ------------------------- This was the response Hey ****.... Wives...who'd have 'em You certainly can get big platters in there..we do on a regular basis! The dimensions are 470mm wide and 370mm deep ... how much bigger do you need? The freezer is wide too (not sure of the dimensions) but it is much larger than my last freezer and the water/ice in the door is soooo much better too. I would suggest a visit to a shop that stocks both and spend a few minutes getting down on your knees (or **** preferably) seeing what it would be like to dig through the bottom of the bottom drawer. Unloading to get to the thing you want at the bottom etc. Now imagine this with kids too Best of luck with it Matt I am willing to come clean....the anonymous PM'er was me......Has anyone else got any thoughts on the plusses and minuses of each of the Fridges discussed? The Samsung of Matt's and the french door F&P. I will let you know how I go. Jason Built in now city 2009, now moving to the country to embark on another build. Check out our previous blog http://ourpalazzo.blogspot.com/ Re: Review - Samsung Fridge SRS702GDHSS 48Aug 08, 2009 2:56 pm Hey all, I also just purchased the Samsung SRS702GDHSS, my house is nearly completed so looking forward to seeing it in its new home.lol I read a few reviews else where that states its noisy? is that true? and lastly my fridge space is 1000 mm wide, and 610 mm deep, so will that fit okay or will it stick out heaps? PS, is the water connection to the fridge easy to do, as i have never had a fridge with ice and water before. thanks Re: Review - Samsung Fridge SRS702GDHSS 49Aug 08, 2009 7:56 pm Yes, I would like to know about the noise too, I have also read HEAPS and HEAPS of bad reviews about the shocking service of Samsung, and the problems with their fridges - I was almost convinced to buy this fridge, but now I can see that Sharp get a lot of good reviews from people??? Re: Review - Samsung Fridge SRS702GDHSS 51Aug 08, 2009 8:55 pm No noise here! The first day I turned it on it was a little noisy and I put it down to the compressor. After a couple of days it was 'back to normal' as far a Side by Side fridges go. People have to remember that this fridge is a side by side and is not like the old fridge they used to have. It is much larger and therefore consumes more electricty and uses the compressor more ofter. This is my third SBS fridge and it is no noisier than the previous 2 I have owned. In fact one of the things I really like is how quiet the ice maker is...having previous had the '12" drop' for the ice to hit the bottom of the plastic bucket at 2 in the morning this thing is a godsend!! Re: Review - Samsung Fridge SRS702GDHSS 52Aug 08, 2009 9:02 pm fully I read a few reviews else where that states its noisy? is that true? see above post fully and lastly my fridge space is 1000 mm wide, and 610 mm deep, so will that fit okay or will it stick out heaps? 600mm will be fine (thats the same depth as the cabinet) you will only see the doors which should look pretty cool! fully PS, is the water connection to the fridge easy to do, as i have never had a fridge with ice and water before. thanks It is ridiculously easy. Just follow the instructions and dont put the filter in! The filter s a 1 micron (or something) and the water just trickles out...works well without it and the water still is as good as your normal tap water but colder. If you have crappy water then filter away! Re: Review - Samsung Fridge SRS702GDHSS 55Aug 11, 2009 8:07 pm jrg200 Hey Matt, How come you didn't purchase an extended warranty? WOFTAM ... IMO. Is there a reason that you think I should have? Re: Review - Samsung Fridge SRS702GDHSS 57Aug 11, 2009 8:31 pm Did you read the first post?? mattwalker Yay for Samsung! We had an issue with our Samsung fridge after 18 months where the cabinet on the old fridge had begun to warp and twist. After a good attempt to fix the issue and a couple of weeks Samsung agreed to replace or refund the fridge. We chose a refund and based on the service and the past performance we upgraded to the next model up (We had a 618l Side by Side) the SRS702GDHSS. Nothing in the world is infinite ... and I would rather the extra $$$ in my pocket. If I have made a mistake I will deal with that when the time comes ... until then Re: Review - Samsung Fridge SRS702GDHSS 59Aug 11, 2009 8:54 pm mattwalker WOFTAM ... IMO. I agree... and also WOFTAM is the name of our ski boat... and it has certainly lived up to its name over the years... Re: Review - Samsung Fridge SRS702GDHSS 60Aug 14, 2009 9:08 am mattwalker Our fridge space is 1130 wide and could be another 20cm wider for a perfect fit. If you are having the door stick out then 1000 would be fine....if you wanted it to sit on like mine then 1150 would be my suggestion! Hey Matt, The fridge is specced only 908mm wide on Samsungs site - why is 1150mm best? Is it door swinging space? I've got a 950mm wide by 700mm deep by 1800mm high cavity - would I need to let the doors sit out in order to open them in this space? Thanks, Andrew it's difficult to make suggestions without accurate information as there are some inconsistencies in the dimensions as the length of the bedrooms is not equal to the… 3 12093 Hi!
