(We ordered the same one a few weeks back - just need to finish the house now so we can take delivery of it). I can totally recomend the Good Guys in Nunawading, look for 'Yasmin J' - he has done us some very good deals in the past few weeks. RRP for the fridge was $3499, Yasmin did it for under $2500. Mind you, we also bought a dishwasher and dryer at the same time, but he also knocked the dishwasher down from $1500 to $1100 and took about $150 off the dryer from memory. I can dig out the exact amounts if anyone is interested. He also did me a 2.4m long entertainment cabinet (can't remember the make) which was $1299 in Harvey Norman, Yasmin ordered the same one in for me at Good Guys for $750. Re: Review - Samsung Fridge SRS702GDHSS 15Jul 08, 2009 8:40 am Hi Matt You have the same fridge as me I had the fridge on hold before I started building the house I designed the kitchen measurements around it even the nice deep recess so it doesnt stick out past my cupboards. I luuvvvvvvvv it The ice maker is great to go with my Baileys It was recommended at $3500 and we got it for $2500 so we are very happy! Know where your going in life............... you may already be there Re: Review - Samsung Fridge SRS702GDHSS 16Jul 08, 2009 1:51 pm sarahq I don't know that it will refill itself with beer... but I see it holds champagne pretty nicely Thanks for the pics Matt!!! Champagne or beer sounds good to me. Re: Review - Samsung Fridge SRS702GDHSS 17Jul 09, 2009 12:12 pm Annietom hi matt did you consider this LG model?? http://www.theelectricdiscounter.com.au ... 3EWRFR3000 How much did you pay at HN? delivery fee??? ALSO, there is a new (I think) LG model which is exactly the same as yours but instead it has the two top doors opening up like a "french" set and then there is a pull out drawer (freezer) below. So the whole top is wide open for fridge, did you consider that one? I know it's pricey (I think $4,500)... Annie We did! I am a 'non' fan of the drawers for the freezer and I think the new model also has only chilled water ... it is the ice I like as well The LG model you have suggested is good but when put side by side with the samsung is a bit smaller. Other smaller things are like the fold down part in the fridge is a nice solid smooth motion on the samsung with a catch that lowers it down slowly as opposed to the LG that has a loose fit on the door and the flap just drops down with no slowing mechanism. The doors on the Samsung also have 2 features that I really like. 1 the doors have a self closing mechanism (great for the kids) and 2 they also lock in place when they are opened which is handy for loading in groceries etc. It is small things like this that made the difference for me! The fridge was a bit under $2400 plus delivery. Re: Review - Samsung Fridge SRS702GDHSS 18Jul 10, 2009 10:16 am Looks great mate. We just bought the same fridge from The Good Guys. Managed to get it for $2600, not as good as your price but I was happy considering we wanted to pay on Amex to get the extra warranty (platinum card). That and we didn't have the cash at the moment. Hopefully it will be a reliable model. Actually - The Good Guys have a 30 day price beat guarantee. Would anyone help me out with a scan of their invoice so I could get the fridge for $2500 or less? I'd be very grateful.
