Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Jun 27, 2009 7:19 pm My plumber has just installed our Flexispray kitchen tap (pull out vegie spray). It is leaking in 2 places. first is where it pivots when you pull it up for high pressure, and also appears to be running down the flexiable hose and dripping into the underneath cabinet. He spent 2 hours trying to fix it, then he had to leave. It was a cheap one, called Echo Sink Mixer by Methven Aust Ltd. Plumber said that the pull out mixers usually have problems no matter what you spend on them. Does anyone have this brand or whats your opinion on pullout taps??? I will be taking it back and hope to buy a better one (dif brand), or will just get a standard mixer tap. Thnx. Re: Flexispray Tap...Leaking!! 2Jun 27, 2009 7:31 pm If they've just installed it, and it's faulty straight away, get them to replace it with a new one. What a pain in the butt for you, but you should get it replaced rather than fixed IMO Re: Flexispray Tap...Leaking!! 3Jun 29, 2009 1:28 pm Its under warranty, contact your supplier and get them to lodge an after sales service request to have it repaired/replaced buy a their service plumber. Ask them to let Methven know it is leaking inside your cabinetry and try to get the issue resolved ASAP. Possumchops Now the proud owner of 3.7acres of Serenity. Colour selection completed! Re: Flexispray Tap...Leaking!! 4Jul 01, 2009 9:44 am Mine has been in for about a month, I found that if the spray part that pulls out isn't pushed all the way in very firmly, then it leaks and the water runs down the hose into the cupboard. I've had no problems since I worked this out! I don't know what brand mine is, but it was on the cheaper end, about $165. Good luck! DIY, Home Maintenance & Repair Hi, I've got a brand new (2nd hand) Bosch Hydropower 16H tankless hot water heater. Since it was installed I have noticed it leaks a lot. I took the cover off and it looks… 0 24140 that will depend on the kitchen bench depth. you'll have to specify it so it allows for both the tap and the sink 1 7380 7 5137 |
