Do I need a plumber to install a dishwasher? DH is terribly handy (no pun intended -- lol) so he could do it, but I was just wondering whether you actually need a licensed plumber. You can do it yourself. Its just a matter of connecting your water to a suitable washing machine tap in the kitchen cupboard and connecting the outlet hose to the nipple/stud on the kitchen sink trap. (drill it out first and use a utilux clip to secure it.) But check your warranty. Sometimes the appliance manufacturer iisists that a licenced plumber install them and your insurance company may not honour your policy if it leaks and causes damage if you've put it in yourself.
