Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Jun 20, 2009 1:17 am Hi all, wondering if anyone knows how to install a canopy rangehood up to a plastered cathedral ceiling or if it can be done?? It will be vented to an outside wall but I want it still to appear like the flue part is into the ceiling....remembering that the ceiling is angled. Any pics or advise woulf be great. Thanks. Re: Rangehood installation/cathedral ceiling...HELP!! 2Jun 29, 2009 3:39 pm I have the same problem. The options suggested to me were: a) Get a custom made flue cover. This may cost a bit but they can make the whole thing in one piece and cut the top at an angle to fit the ceiling. b) Use a shorter flue cover and use an arched piece on the top to make it look like the chimney goes out of the wall. I haven't decided yet, but I'll probably go with the second option. Our 6m high Cathedral ceiling has 0 insulation, just plaster, wrap and tiles as far as I can tell. I could probably rip the old… 0 5190 Thanks Simon, I guess I'm no concerned with the volume of the noise rather that dead and hollow sound and feel that is associated with floating floors. But I'm not sure… 3 6141 |
