Is it blue or grey? I loved it, especially with the alabaster cabinets. Here is the sample, (but it look heaps nicer in real life, I think ) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ MagicJ I finally have my own reno thread: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=28335 The reason a dog has so many friends is that he wags his tail instead of his tongue! Re: And so it begins.....Updated benchtop pics!!! 85Nov 11, 2009 9:51 pm OK, here is my rant, what a lousy day!! Realised this morning that we had not measured the depth of our fridge cavity (despite the many threads on this topic on this forum ) - fridge cavity is 610mm, the fridge we have bought is shown on the website with a depth of 703mm (door closed, not including handle) . And of course you need to allow 30mm for ventilation. So I'm thinking my fridge is going to be jutting out into the kitchen like a sore toe!!! However DH then went into the garage and measured the actual fridge and it doesn't seem as deep as the specs say, so hopefully it might not be as bad as all that . Bit annoyed with the cabinet-maker though, because he had the specs for the fridge (we bought it before kitchen was made) and never raised this with us . Then the electrician arrived to put in my cooktop and it fits beautifully into my stone benchtop, BUT the cavity isn't deep enough so it sits up too high instead of dropping in flush to the benchtop. DH says this can be fixed relatively easily but kitchen guys, but still very annoying. Then the floor guy rang tonight to say he can't come tomorrow because he is up in Burnie with his sick Dad. We are very sorry his Dad is sick of course, but it is one more delay after many. Sigh....I think I will have a drink now..... Re: And so it begins.....More problems!!! 86Nov 11, 2009 10:09 pm Find that blowfly (you know the one) and exterminate him.... this is his bad luck tranferring onto you. Otherwise sit tight for 7 days (give or take a day?) until his bad luck runs out. He must still be in the house somewhere... It's something to do with the circle of life, I'm sure Trust me MagicJ, yes- and have that drink. Cheers, buzz Re: And so it begins.....More problems!!! 87Nov 11, 2009 10:16 pm I'd forgotten about that blowfly - you are right, this has just got to be his fault !!! Re: And so it begins.....More problems!!! 90Nov 12, 2009 12:30 pm OK, couldn't stand worrying about it any longer, DH tried putting the fridge in the cavity this morning to see how it looked. Seems that it's not as bad as I thought, it is mostly the door which protrudes from the cavity, not half the fridge as I originally thought !!! Apparently this is quite normal, as people prefer their door to open 180 degrees for cleaning purposes. Would still rather it was flush with the next door wall-oven, even if that meant the door opened only at 90 degrees, but at least it is not absolutely awful !!!! On another positive note, this is my 1000th post !!!!! Congrats on your 1000th post and my fridge door sticks out the same, it was poking out further but DH got a flat plug and we tucked the water pump thingy down the side so now it's just the door bit. I love the "flush" look too but didn't even give a thought Re: And so it begins.....More problems!!! 92Nov 12, 2009 2:09 pm MagicJ OK, couldn't stand worrying about it any longer, DH tried putting the fridge in the cavity this morning to see how it looked. I love the "flush" look too but didn't even give a thought Thanks for the congrats, SuH ! Glad to know I am not alone in my fridge dramas - if we ever renovate again (yeah, over my dead body ) it will definitely be something I take into consideration in my kitchen plan ! Hi Miss Ticky!! We had a look at our fridge (it's Fisher and Paykel 517 litre single door fridge with the little freezer up top) and everything seems to still be accessible at 90 degrees, but maybe that's just wishful thinking - I'm great at 20/20 hindsight !! The really annoying thing is that if we had realised before, we could have set the fridge cavity a teeny bit back into the wall behind it when our structural changes were being done, pre-kitchen. We don't need a lot more depth, even 50mm would have made a difference . Now that everything is in, the builder reckons it would cost around $2k to change it - which is the cost of the fridge in the first place . Ah, well, hopefully you are right and will grow on me.......... Ah, well, hopefully you are right and will grow on me.......... I was looking at my fridge this morning and, if it were any further back the doors wouldn't open far enough for me to open the vege crisper drawers, same on the freezer side, there are 3 drawers and there is no way I could open those if the doors didn't go right back...so SuH is now happy I am not a brick expert, but rendering would be 1 option, it would be costly to do the entire house though.... 2 6122 Hi all, has anyone been ask to do the weeds in their property while in the middle of build?
