Re: And so it begins.....Updated benchtop pics!!! 46Sep 19, 2009 4:46 pm Wow! Looking great Magic. The benchtop is stunning. I love waterfall ends. I cant wait till mine is here, taking forever. Anyway now to the next part- Which colour are you going to choose? On first look i really went for the middle colour, the teal one but i also like the one on the right. Its a nice shade of blue and a bit lighter. The painter i spoke to who is eventually going to paint the glass for my splashback said that colours will appear darker behind glass as well as being on a larger area. Which one are you leaning towards? Re: And so it begins.....Updated benchtop pics!!! 47Sep 19, 2009 4:55 pm hey MJ - this looks fantastic - are you toying with that blue colour you've painted on the wall - what a great colour! so nice - BTW can I ask what is the cabinet doors colour and what stone/colour is the bench tops... It looks so similar to mine! Cheers, Annie A thankful person is a happy person. So stressful!!! The cabinet doors are Alabaster and the benchtop is Quantum Quartz Coco. If yours is similar, Annietom, what colour splashback are you looking at???? Re: And so it begins.....Updated benchtop pics!!! 49Sep 19, 2009 5:10 pm my splashback is plain clear glass, I had to pay for something dif, and I didn't want to pay more - I'm stingy!!! haha A thankful person is a happy person. Looks nice and no colour headaches!!! DH has photoshopped the 3 colours on to my kitchen photos on my splashback thread, if you'd like to have a peek!! viewtopic.php?f=6&t=22352 MagicJ I finally have my own reno thread: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=28335 The reason a dog has so many friends is that he wags his tail instead of his tongue! Re: And so it begins..... 51Sep 19, 2009 5:33 pm WOW it looks AWESOME!!! As for splashbacks I like either of the two on the ends on this pic preferring the left one - the one in the middle might be too dark 'A bottle of wine contains more philosophy than all the books in the world.' Re: And so it begins.....Updated benchtop pics!!! 59Sep 20, 2009 2:06 am Oh wow, that looks really NICE!! Love the benchtop colour! Question about your splashback if you don't mind? Are you having it installed under your window? If so, what goes on the window sill? I was looking at my empty kitchen space today and at the window sill where the tiles were ripped off, and thought what the heck am I meant to put there when I want to move away from tiles? (if my budget permits!) I'm looking at using Acryform if I can find out prices as glass is way out of my budget, but stumped at the window sill bit (my sink will also be under the window). Heeeelp! Re: And so it begins.....Updated benchtop pics!!! 60Sep 20, 2009 10:18 am Hi Katie, Thanks for the compliment! Yeah, the whole window-sill was tiled in the old kitchen, which of course was ripped off during demolition. The splashback will be going all the way along under the windowsill behind the sink, there tends to be a fair bit of splash in our house when washing up pots etc !!! The builder will be replacing a normal windowsill and architrave once the splashback is in. Good luck with your reno- hope we get to see pics!!!
