Re: Granite waterfall island inspirations 5May 23, 2009 5:27 pm Hi. I am a newbie here and generally just browse all the fascinating info people post here (we are renovating) but just wanted to say, that last picture is actually a Silestone benchtop. I know because we just got a quote from that joinery company and I looked at the whole set-up very closely in the showroom and actually leaned on that bench to check out my quote. I thought the kitchen looked familiar!!! Re: Granite waterfall island inspirations 7May 24, 2009 8:48 am yummy granite. love the first and 2nd granites. 1st waterfall pic looks really special... to die for. I love this kind of look in tiles as well. Re: Granite waterfall island inspirations 8Jun 03, 2009 9:28 am Hey guys, first pic isnt too bad, although its not granite its a marble top and the ends are actually butt jointed not mitred. Usually with drop down waterfall's you would do a mitred edge as its alot cleaner looking and you dont get that ugly line across the side showing where the top bench meets the next piece of stone. But all in all yes you can do granite in waterfall its exactly the same as engineered stone. Only difference is its a bit more difficult to manufacture, but that is the problem for the stone mason not the customer. If you do need any more info do not hesitate to ask.
