Went to the cabinet makers today to check out our kitchen he has made in his factory, loved it apart from the pantry. Our kitchen is quite large, around 4m x 3.7 metres, so it will be an L shape with a 2m x 1.3 m island bench. When the cabinet maker came to measure up (measurements had been from house plans before this) he discovered we had a bit more room to move with so we discussed having 2 pantry type cupboards either side of our fridge and freezer together. For some reason even though each pantry is only 70cm across i was visualising a sort of stand in pantry with a front and 2 sides. When i saw the pantry and appliance cupboards today it was like looking at a cupboard in your wardrobe with moveable shelves where you put your jumpers and shirts
Now i have visualisations of our kitchen just like before, trying to find the peanut butter and having to move things around on the shelf to find it at the back. Is it too late to change? I mean now he has basically cut it all out he can't really move it around and stick it together again can he? Any other suggestions? I did tell him at the time it was not what i expected but i didnt ask about changing it. I also got the electrician to put up wires for lights in the pantry and appliance cupboards when he was here earlier this week as they started plastering yesterday. A pantry light will be useless now. So mad at myself for such a stupid stuff up.
