Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 May 07, 2009 12:24 pm i have had square black diamond gloss benchtops in my new house. where the top meet the side on the edges on the benchtops you can see the brown from the bottomside ofb the diamond gloss?? does this make sence?? what should the edges look like?? Re: advise please 2May 07, 2009 12:32 pm Do you mean on the underside of your bench overhang? ie if you have an overhang to create a breakfast bar is it underneath? If this is what you mean then it is perfectly normal. Or do you mean where your benchtop is alongside a cupboard and the overhang juts out - and you can see it on the bit on the side? Because if this is what you mean then no it should be that way. Normally your kitchen installer will use an Γ―ron-on / glue-on" trim in the same material to make it look like a solid slab. Sorry if this is not what you mean at all but these are the only things I could imagine it would be. Some things are worth waiting for. Re: advise please 3May 07, 2009 1:31 pm I think you mean the substrate where the edges meet. Like in my pantry benchtop shown here: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ It's always going to happen on square edge benches. However it shouldn't be so noticable on a black one.
