Browse Forums Kitchen Corner Re: And I thought choosing benchtops would be easy 4May 05, 2009 1:35 pm SuH My DH would stick to his guns if he didn't like what I chose...he likes to have input and we have always agreed on what is chosen (at the time) even if later it isn't quite what we expected, although he seems to forget he has agreed I like it that way, then it's not entirely my fault...SO tell DW you both will have to agree because you both have to live with it every day. What about a not very white benchtop. Why not have a dark splashback instead. Hmm Yes a dark splash back could be the compromise. I will scan the colours that we have chosen. In the benchtop colours I like the one you like and the one under it (big samples)? And on the sheet, the second whitish one with the arrow. I have had dark benchtops with white cupboards and it does look nice, never seems to date but I wouldn't have it again only because I need to have something different this time. Re: And I thought choosing benchtops would be easy 8May 05, 2009 2:24 pm So these two? If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. Then quit. There's no use being a damn fool about it. W.C. Re: And I thought choosing benchtops would be easy 9May 05, 2009 3:29 pm On the chart I like: 1st row - 2nd and 3rd ones(I think the new one is Pure Mineralstone - MrsRusty has a thread in the kitchen thread with this used it looks fantastic!) 2nd row - 1st and 2nd ones I agree do white cupboards, a mid colour range benchtop and then a darker splashback... My karma ran over your dogma Re: And I thought choosing benchtops would be easy 10May 05, 2009 3:53 pm I like the one you like Wigies, and the first and last of DW's favourites. The middle one not so much, for me. "Your emotions are the slaves to your thoughts, and you are the slave to your emotions." — Elizabeth Gilbert Living in our new house. Currently scaping the land. Re: And I thought choosing benchtops would be easy 12May 07, 2009 8:11 pm I am having Gloss white cupboards, Osprey c.stone tops and Red Buff Glass Splashback. SO it will be whitish with the splash of colour. Did that help at all, probably not.
