Would love pics if you have them Re: Small appliance storage? 2Apr 24, 2009 9:07 pm All my frequently used ones will be on the bench in the butler's pantry (toaster, sandwich maker, sandwich press, milkshake maker), others will be on the shelf below the bench in the pantry. If there was no butler's pantry, I'd have an appliance cupboard in the kitchen. Here's the link to a thread where kek posted some great pics of appliance cupboards. viewtopic.php?f=16&t=12342&hilit=appliance+cupboard I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Re: Small appliance storage? 4Apr 24, 2009 9:16 pm I don't have too many gadgets one toasted sandwich maker (in cupboard), one toaster and kettle (to go in utility cupboard with roller door) big frypan (in drawer) I just don't have all that stuff...which is good. Re: Small appliance storage? 5Apr 24, 2009 9:17 pm Oh, a butler's pantry would be heaven on a stick!! Thanks for the link joles! kyton - i know what you mean! When we last moved, unpacking my kitchen appliances after being in storage for 6 months was like going shopping. "Oh, i have one of those, wow!" SuH - i have too many, and i NEED them all! I was thinking of having a pull-out pantry to replace my current corner pantry, and have realised that i'm not really going to be able to put the appliances in there Will have to see if i can squeeze in an appliance cupboard somewhere... Re: Small appliance storage? 6Apr 24, 2009 9:30 pm I'm having a full height cupboard specifically for that purpose I'm sure I'll end up having all sorts of stuff in there. But I particularly wanted a place to store such appliances. It will be a 600mm wide full height cupboard at the end of my kitchen. Here's a pic of our plan showing the appliance cupboard. This is just not on - don't you know the idea is to have way too many electrical items. In fact too many to ever use and then you end up tossing them out or offloading them to an unfortunate family member Nicoletta - yep this was one of the main reasons we designed my pantry to be 5m in length - that way everything will be on a shelf in plain sight. And another things was some electrical items are so bulky - pulling them out of a cupboard drives me insane. The electric wok and slow cooker are the worst offenders. Some things are worth waiting for. Re: Small appliance storage? 8Apr 24, 2009 9:35 pm kyton we designed my pantry to be 5m in length WOW!!!! Awesome size for a pantry!! That's massive!!!! Kyton....sweets, I offloaded my unused electrical items many many years ago, never to be replaced. I like the bare minimum, no clutter, no nothin unless I need it to make a cocktail in which case it stays Re: Small appliance storage? 10Apr 24, 2009 9:41 pm Yep but let's face it the blender and wine chiller will just live down at the bar!! See I even have two blenders - one for soups & milkshakes; the other solely for cocktail making Some things are worth waiting for.
