We've been told that we will have to do an acrylic edging if we want a Diamond-Gloss edge like that Re: Diamond Gloss Kitchen..my glass splashbacks r in! 47May 30, 2009 9:25 am Hi Rex, yep I can do that for you, sorry i have taken so long to reply, i have been away...no internet... Can I ask what is the colour of the glass splashbacks? And is it on clear glass or starfire glass? THank you Stephen Williams Landing Stage 10 - Kingwell Neighbourhood Re: Diamond Gloss Kitchen..my glass splashbacks r in! 55Jun 04, 2009 10:41 pm I wholeheartedly agree!!! The workmanship is first-class. I really needed to squint to see the joins...it looks like really chunky and gorgeous engineered stone The splashback looks like float glass...right? Re: Diamond Gloss Kitchen..my glass splashbacks r in! 58Jun 25, 2009 8:19 pm monkey68 Hi Guys and Gals, Well here she is...benchtops are Diamond Gloss Pure Mineralstone, and are lovely..am very happy!! Still have to put in glass splashbacks and a few powerpoints (and the fridge), and finish installing the rest of the canopy/range..and had a fit when my Ilve cookers legs weren't long enough, as the benchtops are 800mm thick, but problem fixed, for those of u considering a freestanding oven, think about the leg height and ur benchtops...cause i didnt!!! But Ilve has a set of legs that wind out to 230mm, which means my cooker will sit flush with the bench, which is where I want it....and added to my already blown budget.. Unfortunately I cant seem to upload the before pic's as they r too big, will work on that though as i think its great to see the before and after, and trust me this is a major improvement on what was there. Just need to decide on a dishwasher now. .M. Hi Monkey68. Love your kitchen! i was just wondering who did your benchtops? After seeing your pictures i went in to my kitchen guys after the same 80mm Laminex Diamond Gloss however they said it wasnt made to that size? Is it only something that can be specially ordered?? -Nicole Re: Diamond Gloss Kitchen..my glass splashbacks r in! 59Jul 06, 2009 2:17 pm I have a question about the diamond gloss, we have ordered it with our new house because we couldn't afford Caesarstone we had to sign a waiver to say both the kitchen company and or builder were not liable if it becomes scratched in anyway. The actual wording is: As Kitchen company.... and builder.... do not recommend the use of high glossed bench tops, we the owner/s of Lot .......and Builder... of Address...., have agreed that should the owner-selected high gloss bench tops be scratched or marked, in any way, during construction, builder or kitchen company will not be responsible for any replacement or remedial action required. I hate the way the builders etc try to shirk responsibility anyway they can but they wouldn't do it unless we signed it so we did. After all of that my question is has anyone else had a problem with their benchtops being damaged before handover ? and also does anyone have some suggestion on how we could protect it after it's installed and before we move in? Thanks for listening to my ramblings, Vid Re: Diamond Gloss Kitchen..my glass splashbacks r in! 60Jul 07, 2009 11:17 pm vid I have a question about the diamond gloss, we have ordered it with our new house because we couldn't afford Caesarstone we had to sign a waiver to say both the kitchen company and or builder were not liable if it becomes scratched in anyway. Thanks for listening to my ramblings, Vid Hi Vid, I also have the diamond gloss pure mineralstone and so far have found it to be very scratch resistant. HOWEVER, I would sign that contract only only on the provision that the builder keeps your benchtop properly covered until the tradies have ALL finished and your site has been cleaned. I think that's only fair, otherwise they're off the hook for any negligence. Our was covered with bubble wrap in most parts, but there were SO many times I came in and saw the tradies tool boxes sitting on parts that were not covered Also, ours has a teeny little chip on one of the joins . I'm not sure when that happened, but we presume during installation. It was covered by the bubble wrap, and we only noticed it after they cleaned up. The kitchen company came and did a repair job on it which I don't think will last. We let our SS know at hand over we weren't too happy with it and would let him know if it presented a problem in the future. The fact is, accidents WILL happen and as customers, we have to be reasonable about that. BUT, don't let them get off hook line and sinker. If you sign that, they'll treat it like crap and you'll be left with an ordinary looking benchtop. Good luck with it. Hi, planning on using the attached stone pieces in my bathroom. I want to remove stains and gloss seal. Can I get some advice on best way to remove stains and best… 0 6709 This link might answer your question.
