Browse Forums Kitchen Corner Re: Power points in the kitchen 21May 08, 2009 11:05 pm Thanks everyone for all of your very informative responses. We've had the power points changed to where I wanted them. Which was 200mm from the corner and 150mm off the bench top. We went for 150 only because we have two appliance where the plug points down, so it will give us just a tad extra without it looking too funky. Re: Power points in the kitchen 23Jan 11, 2011 10:43 pm Hi, I am an electrician and we use to put our power points at 1050mm centres. But lately we have been lifting them to 1100mm centres to give that little extra clearance underneath, so it seems you have the standard sparkys choice. I have had people nominated to have them higher like 1250mm but never asked why. As for position, from your picture, I would have them not in the corner but half way between the corner and the cooker. Just so you aren't reaching behind all your items in the corner to change plugs and so the cords reach.\ And those Clipsal saturn powerpoints look great. I have them myself. If you want something a little different, Legrand/Hpm have wood faced ones, leather faced ones, metal faced ones and the glass ones with patterns in them. Hope I helped. If you're referring to Eufy homebase, then just put a switch between a datapoint and put the homebase elsewhere near another device in your home unless you want teh… 9 13845 Would also like an opinion from anyone that has used xcem over hebel for floors.
