hi there... am i right to presume that these boards are laminated? would anyone know what exactly were used here?

I would say no, because there would not be much contrast and might look too brown. It might look ok if you have quite a big kitchen but if you have a small kitchen I would stay with light colours to make the kitchen appear bigger Re: is this laminex? 5Apr 20, 2009 8:48 pm As you can see in the photo you posted, there is a light floor. This allows the timber and the floor to take their own dominance in the room. Start mixing the timber with a dark floor and you will loose it. I don’t have any Laminex samples that resemble the one in the pic. But hey, since the rep replaced my book with the new one, I don’t seem to have lots of colours!!
