Re: Kleenmaid Calls In Administrators 4Apr 10, 2009 4:27 pm He wants a dream home theatre - she wants a dream kitchen! Re: Kleenmaid Calls In Administrators 5Apr 10, 2009 4:32 pm Well I guess that's a 12k write off then isn't it. I hope that our builder will let us revert to standard cabinetry without adding additional penalties on top of this loss. I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Re: Kleenmaid Calls In Administrators 7Apr 10, 2009 4:50 pm mek I'm sorry Jo, stay positive. How come you paid for your appliances before you started building? Was it a good deal? Oh it's a long story... but we should have half finished house by now... but yeah it was, but we wouldn't have go them if we knew what was going to happen with the builder. And we wouldn't have got them if I knew we'd end up with PD. I'd be happy with their Blanco appliances. There's nothing to stay positive about, they are saying that anyone that paid money has lost it. This is something we just can't afford. And may be the final straw for me to tell you the truth. I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Re: Kleenmaid Calls In Administrators 8Apr 10, 2009 5:17 pm Joles, This sux! I am so sorry for you and anyone else who is caught up in this... http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/story/0,21985,25316647-661,00.html Heres hoping you get 'something' back. Anything is better than nothing I guess Re: Kleenmaid Calls In Administrators 9Apr 10, 2009 5:59 pm Jo if you've paid in full for your appliances, can't you just go and collect them? Is that possible???? I suppose it depends on where you bought them from too and if the outlet is still trading and if they had it on the floor or on hold or in their warehouse for you??? Maybe there is a way to get through this - i sure hope so, for your sake... Keeping my fingers crossed for you Jo..... Re: Kleenmaid Calls In Administrators 10Apr 10, 2009 6:05 pm Nic, it was an order and we had to give 21 days notice to pick up. I doubt we'll get them. I'm p*ssed off and whatever.... but I'll take two tablespoons of concrete and harden the f**K up! Expensive lesson learnt. BUT, it's only our appliances and it's only money. Our builder isn't in administration, no-one died, it's not the end of the world. We'll get over it and move on. There's a lot of people dealing with hell of a lot worse than this in the current economic climate. I've got no money, but I've still got perspective! I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Re: Kleenmaid Calls In Administrators 11Apr 10, 2009 6:48 pm jo, and anyone else affected by this kleenmaid disaster, i'm so sorry this happened to you. i really really hope good karma comes your way and some amazing windfall tips the balance back in your favour. x Building Emperor Q2 with Henley in Featherbrook stage 13, Point Cook. Not more people affected by companies that can't manage their financial affairs. Feel for you all - it's really crap you all have to go through this. ^^^Good on you Jo - Yep you have every right to be p1ssed off, as I would be too (and was a few weeks ago.....), but I totally agree with everything you said ^^^. We had the option to pull out, no-one died, and yes it's money that will come off our future build, but that's it. Great to see you having this attitude so soon. Really impressed!!! (I'm not taking the ***) Bel Still not in. Don't ask!? Re: Kleenmaid Calls In Administrators 14Apr 10, 2009 7:06 pm Beebie i really really hope good karma comes your way Very well put Beebie It is nice to see some people on the forum are not horrible enough to make fun of another person's misfortune. My karma ran over your dogma Re: Kleenmaid Calls In Administrators 15Apr 10, 2009 7:12 pm I haven't seen ellyash back on. It's the two of us affected as far as I know. And one of the builders uses Kleenmaid appliances.... but I'm not sure which one. I think the bigger concern is that they were a very well established company, and they have still gone under and 150 people have lost their jobs. Makes me wonder who could be next. Not a nice time for anyone. I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Re: Kleenmaid Calls In Administrators 16Apr 10, 2009 7:50 pm Hey Jo, you are taking it really well, I really hope things work out - don't give up hope just yet they might be able to work something out. My fingers are crossed for you. Our builder is one who uses Kleenmaid for their appliances, we actually cut them out for our cooking as we wanted to upgrade to a freestanding cooker and couldn't afford Kleenmaid - but we were still going with them for our dishwasher, not sure what is happening now. But like you said Jo, its only appliances and could be a lot worse. ICK So glad the building is over, never again. Loooove our house, but still not quite sure it was worth all of the stress they put us through! Kleenmaid - Going, Going...... 17Apr 10, 2009 7:51 pm Have you heard the news, Kleenmaid has just gone into voluntary administration. This from The Australian newspaper: Quote: But administrator John Greig, of Deloitte, on Friday said in a statement that staff would lose their jobs, customers would lose deposits and warranties could no longer be honoured. Our appliances are all Kleenmaid. I wonder what the process with NBG or our builder will be from here. Anyone else in the same boat? I do know that the current NBG promotion includes Blanco appliances. I would be happy with those, or even a credit so we can choose our own appliances. I do know that I am more than a little concerned about the no warranty issue. Em Re: Kleenmaid - Going, Going...... 18Apr 10, 2009 7:56 pm Thanks Mel&Em, its already being discussed in the following threads: http://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=16318 http://www.forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=16310 I might move this thread over to avoid confussion. Re: Kleenmaid Calls In Administrators 19Apr 10, 2009 7:59 pm Hey Jo, Sympathies regarding the appliances. Hope it all works out for ya. NBG had a promotion (when we signed with them) which included Kleenmaid. I don't know where we stand right now, but I'm hoping for the best. I try and get a hold of the builder after Easter and sort it out. Em Re: Kleenmaid Calls In Administrators 20Apr 10, 2009 8:57 pm haywgl It is nice to see some people on the forum are not horrible enough to make fun of another person's misfortune. errrr, I'm not sure but was that directed at me? If so, you took my post the wrong way. Sorry if Im not privvy to all the in-group stuff on this forum (I'm an occassional poster at best) but my comment "chin up mate" was genuine and not a 'funny' at all. Personally, I like joles' sense of humour under such circumstances...anyone who can quote Ronnie Johns is one classy lady Gee I feel like I'm back in high school all of a sudden |
