The benchtop is granite. I would like to simply remove both and modify the benchtop to accomodate a new freestanding oven/doooktop. How difficult id it to cut the benchtop to create the space required? There are alot of traps for young players when it comes to cutting stone/masonary Then the mods to the cupboards/kickers etc to house the new free standing oven. We have done alot of this kond of work for owner builders, where they have bought granite kitchens form the auctions and then said can you fit? which generally means we have to cut the stone to suit the space provided. Onsite cutting is definately achievable but do your homework or employ someone to tackle the task, you will find it hard however to find many tradesman that would be intersted in this kind of work.
