Hi all
Im sure there is no set rules for colours it’s up to the individual taste. However, when I worked as a picture framer & photographer we had golden rules that seemed to always work. Eg. Light mat board over dark on a double mat. Find a minor colour in the picture and that’s your best colour for the frame etc. Hey lets face it some things work and some just don’t.
So, what’s it with Kitchen colours. A few question, please give me so comments & ideas.
Bench tops Lighter or darker than cupboards?
Kicker the same as bench top or similar?
Walls in Kitchen lighter or darker than Cupboards?
Shadows from major light in kitchen, compensated by down lights over work areas and sink?
Floor tiles, should I consider these first then choose cupboards to suit. Or do I go from the colour of the walls.
How do you colour people start the ball rolling? What do you choose first if anything?
Is it best to have the Master Ensuite Tiles and feature tiles to be the same in the bathroom & toilet?
I know it’s up to the individual but I bet I’m not the only person in the dark when it comes to colour selection. Give me some food for thought. A few ideas to consider so I can make my home an individual work of art instead of copying some display more colours that seem to be very similar.
Thank you kindly.
