Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Mar 24, 2009 9:25 pm If you had the choice would you prefer to have a cooker or a seperate built in underbench oven and cooktop? We have a choice. At the moment I am leaning towards seperate only because it is built in with no gaps around it and looks a little neater IMHO. Totally depends on your style and taste though. I love the freestanding as I feel it makes more of a statement in the kitchen and also with the canopy rangehood.Yeah might be a little more cleaning cos of the gap. But if I want to remove it.(why??? no idea) but IF, it seems easier But Helyn ( as per the noted thread) prefers the retractable for a more streamlined look. Most of the time its only a small gap. And unless you have food fights in your kitchen a lot it shouldnt get too grubby. Ive had one before and never caused me much trouble. Quick tip. If the sides get dirty. Just stuck a thin sponge on the side of a ruler and VOLA!! perfect Living in Caloundra Thread****** Lovin my house all finished!!!
