hey guys,
just a couple of quick splashback questions ;
1.) Whats the standard thickness of the glass including the poly/glue/whatever behind it? i've heard 6, 8 and 10mm?
2.) since our walls are very non-square there are some gaps between the benchtop edge and the wall in some sections of around 13mm max - its only for a run of about 50-100mm or so in a couple of areas but what happens there with the splashback? will the glazier just build it up with putty/glue etc so its flush with the benchtop?
3.) i hear about some people using cheaper perspex for non-cooking areas - if you are using the same colour as the glass sections does it look almost identical colour and reflectivity-wise? we have around 12sqm that will need doing which at glass $ rates is pretty damn exxy !!!!
4.) once painted, can you see through the glass at all to the wall surface? im just worried as our main wall is plastered a bit roughly in sections as there's been a couple of brick pantries built then removed so theres a few different colours as well.
4a.) tied to above I guess, does the glazier put anything on the wall surface to smooth/screed it down or anything or just dollops of glue in certain spots to adhere it to the wall?
I've been trying to ring my glazier but there no answer and being a MOnday morning these questions are really bugging me haha
cheers
