Thanks. really nothing to diowith stone ,these are a man made product to fill a gap in the market ,nothing more nothing less Re: Quantum Quartz 4Mar 07, 2007 1:52 pm The same!!
Actually, I’m looking forward to doing my kitchen bench tops with the Quantum Quartz, I’ve used it quite a few times, so far no complaints from the clients!! It’s a very nice product… ![]() Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com Re: Quantum Quartz 6Mar 07, 2007 2:17 pm My pleasure….glade my advice is helpful to you. ![]() Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com Re: Quantum Quartz 7Mar 19, 2007 1:34 am Actually characteristic differences do occur within different engineered stones, but not across different brands. Whether it be Essa, Caesar, Quantum Quartz, Q stone, Silestone or the latest branding to enter the market, they are all produced the same way. The differences are more related to colours. For example, Caesarstone Snow marks extremely easily and Mink scratches quite easily.
They all have their flaws and strengths. The best thing to do is get a sample from the manufacturer or wholesaler and abuse it the way you intend to do with your benchtop. Re: Quantum Quartz 8Apr 11, 2007 10:55 pm Quantum quartz has wider range of modern colours with sparkly bits. Caesar stone resembles polished stone aggregate to me.. perhaps I am being a bit judgemental but it is purely a cosmetic choice I think. they are both manmade solid surface benchtops.go with what colour range makes you feeel happy.

What is this "snow mark" of which you speak?? ![]() Re: Quantum Quartz 10Apr 12, 2007 1:52 am mattwalker,
Ceasarstone comes in a (popular) colour called Snow. So "Ceasarstone Snow marks extremely easily" should be read as "Ceasarstone, in the colour Snow, marks extremely easily", rather than "Ceasarstone snow-marks extremely easily". ![]() Cheers, Casa Re: Quantum Quartz 11Apr 12, 2007 10:12 am ahh i see. Now i need to go and check to see what colour ceaserstone benchtops we ordered....
My wife keeps yelling at me... "Stop Looking!!" Matt Re: Quantum Quartz 13May 21, 2007 2:18 pm Hi,
I have been told by a kitchen manufacturer that the "Cesar Stone" Brand is much superior to "Quantum Quartz" or "Sile stone" and that the last 2 brands tend to crack easily where the "Cesar Stone" doesn't. Can anyone comment on that? Does anyone has any experience with any of these brands cracking? Re: Quantum Quartz 14May 21, 2007 9:06 pm if the manufacturer is telling you that one is superior to the other it is probably based on his own experiences and can't be applied as a general rule. I've seen cracks in Caesar, Sile, and Essa. The most occuring in caesar but that can be contributed to the higher volume of caesar used. When buying an engineered stone benchtop, you as the consumer don't need to worry about cracks because all the engineered stone slabs are warrantied provided the manufacturer follows the guidelines specified in the production manuals. Ask your manufacturer about the warranty on the stone. If they can't help you contact the wholesaler. Re: Quantum Quartz 16May 24, 2007 12:04 am it is perfectly fine to have 20mm or 40mm edges it makes no difference to anything apart from appearance and cost. Re: Quantum Quartz 19May 24, 2007 6:50 pm ![]() Thanks. Does anyone know how much it costs to have that 40mm ceaserstone edging for an average size kitchen? My builder was quoting in excess of $1200. unfortunately it is hard to judge because there are alot of variables to consider but $1200 for edgework is well within the realm. |
