Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Mar 01, 2007 1:00 pm i'm in the middle of renovating my kitchen..when removing the old tiles that were the splashback. i have discovered that the wall is concrete over brick.
i would love to strip back the whole wall from the bench top to ceiling to have that industrial "exposed concrete look" with stainless steel splashbacks etc.. could anyone suggest the best way to remove the thin layer of plaster above the tiles and what to use to smooth out the concrete? -as it is quite rough from where the tiles have been removed. and is there a sealant to paint over the concrete?
