And looks really good! Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com Re: What do u think of my kitchen colours? Thanks D@n!! :) 23Feb 26, 2009 10:12 pm Thanks D@n!!! Great to get an idea of how the colours will look together!!
And yep, the picture is a bit confusing - the ceiling is actually meant to be raked (from right to left as you look at the picture) but for some reason the lady who 'drew up' our kitchen said her software couldn't do the raked ceiling properly The breakfast bar/cooktop bench will be the stainless steel part...with the lower sink bench in caesarstone...also, the fridges will be fully integrated, so all cabinetry across that wall, apart from the oven/microwave! Thanks again heapssss!!! Re: What do u think of my kitchen colours? Thanks D@n!! :) 24Feb 26, 2009 10:18 pm Michelle I know a lot of people would consider the cooktop so close the breakfast bar unsafe, and in a way it is. The one thing wrong, and this depends on how you work in the kitchen, there’s not a lot of prep space, which means all the mess could over flow onto the eating area. My suggestion if budget allows, is to have some pull out work benches under the counter. Thanks again Michelle And yep, I take your point about the cooktop/breakfast bar....i guess because we have a separate dining room and only really plan to use the 'breakfast bar' at breakfast...and the rest of the time just for people to basically mingle around - we're happy to work with the space we have Also, not that you can see in the picture, but there is a walk-in-pantry built into that wall...with additional bench space, so i guess we figure we can hopefully keep some of the clutter hidden away in there Out of interest though...where exactly would you position the pull out work benches...that doesn't sound like a bad idea!! Re: What do u think of my kitchen colours? Thanks D@n!! :) 25Feb 26, 2009 10:27 pm That is a fantastic looking kitchen, colours look great. I agree with Michelle I would want more useable bench space - but if you are happy with the amount you have at present (also with you WIP space) then great. Cant wait to see the real life version. Re: What do u think of my kitchen colours? Thanks D@n!! :) 26Feb 26, 2009 10:38 pm Wow your kitchen is beautiful! So jealous!!
I love your colour selections, we are also using grey pebble 1/4 strength for our walls. Great choice! Just wondering, if you use grey pebble full strength, for the ceiling, would that be too dark? And yeh....i do think we'll be ok with bench space and hopefully it will work out ok! I guess we could always only have stools on the outer side of the b'fast bar if we really needed to...but yep...guess we'll have to wait and see!! Wonderland - great minds obviously think alike!! What we were thinking about the ceiling was that, since it won't receive as much light as the walls...we might actually make it slightly lighter than the walls (1/5 strength?! haha)....but i'm not much of an expert!! I'm reallyyy sorry to be a pain - but the open shelving is still 'wenge', and the actual benchtop with the sink in it is the Caesarstone! Thanks again! You're the best! Now...if only I had some house-related talents, i'd return the favour! haha Re: What do u think of my kitchen colours? See the photo….that’s where they sit, if you can put them in around your sink area that would be a good spot.
