Re: Oh why don't we get nice C-stone colours like the US? 5Feb 19, 2009 1:04 pm I think they give so many options. You could have the colour on the benchtop and leave the splash back the wall colour. That type of thing.
I also looked at the overseas Caeserstone sites. I only did it once and then learnt my lesson. I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Re: Oh why don't we get nice C-stone colours like the US? 6Feb 19, 2009 1:10 pm Smart stone have a red close to that - nice colour but would have to be used VERY judiciously.
http://www.smartstone.com.au/Colour.asp ... erID=1&p=2 Very very similar product to Caesarstone. Cheers, Earl Re: Oh why don't we get nice C-stone colours like the US? 7Feb 19, 2009 1:13 pm kyton...you colour freak
I for one, after having lime green benchtops for 12 years, don't find coloured benchtops all that appealing. Although I could go for a nice aqua with white cupboards I take back what I just said Re: Oh why don't we get nice C-stone colours like the US? 8Feb 19, 2009 1:13 pm I could imagine an all white or all black kitchen, white or black stone on the other benches, but with red stone on the island and red cupboards and back panel to match, but pure white or pure black everywhere else. It would look stunning. I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. A little less of that red would look great IMO! "Your emotions are the slaves to your thoughts, and you are the slave to your emotions." — Elizabeth Gilbert Living in our new house. Terrence Malick Re: Oh why don't we get nice C-stone colours like the US? 13Feb 19, 2009 1:27 pm Oh Jo - no not beige the kitchen designer I met on Monday was laughing her head off whenever I reacted badly to her beige / brown comments.
Disclaimer this is not to bag anyone who uses beige and brown. I actually love it and think that it looks quite calm and sophisticated. However since we have little little children and our home is to be the fun place to hang out (unless we become so daggy that even our kids won't like us ) we wanted bright colourful places all over the home. Some things are worth waiting for. Re: Oh why don't we get nice C-stone colours like the US? 14Feb 19, 2009 1:35 pm SuH Maaaatttte, I don't do beige, brown/taupes are my colours and I have a grey tile upstairs. Nowhere in my house will you find beige Oh you're too easy!!! Don't worry, everyone has tolds me that blacks and charcoals can be depressing and offensive. I picked up beige samples and pics of beige/neutral houses and scream at them "Now that's offensive!" Disclaimer: See Kyton's disclaimer above. Also I grew up in a house where you could have any colour, as long as it was brown or beige. I simply can't take anymore! I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself.
