Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Jan 09, 2009 9:41 am Hi, I am new to this forum but I am finding it very useful.
I have recently purchased an oldish home, and I am keen to renovate the kitchen before I move in. I am looking for a neat but cheap kitchen(3.6mts*3mts- preferably U shaped, also I have very good stainless steel appliances) as I plan to knock down and build in 5 yrs time. Can anyone give me a rough estimate on how much it would cost and some good kitchen places in Newcastle ? I have no experience with diy etc , and therefor flatpack kitchens may not be an option. Thanks! Re: Cheap Kitchen in Newcastle 2Jan 09, 2009 10:45 am Hi aafa, sorry but I have no idea where you would get a cheap one from, look in the trading post maybe ![]() I am having my kitchen built by Cutting Edge Joinery at Cardiff, not cheap but A1 work....apparently....hopefully. Re: Cheap Kitchen in Newcastle 4Jan 09, 2009 1:05 pm I think it was about $23,000, and it isn't all that big but I did go for some expensive finishes and I believe that is what drove the end price up. Their work is supposed to be excellent.
There is a place at Mayfield - Elite Kitchens 4967 3354, they did a simple kitchen for someone I know and it was very very good. Elite would be a lot cheaper than Cutting Edge. I have previously posted pictures of our flat pak kitchen we got through them on the forum - search for SRD and it should come up.
Also Dave's Kit Kitchens at Warners Bay seems okay - but we waited 2mths for the quote and design to be completed so have gone elsewhere for this kitchen. Some things are worth waiting for.
