The easiest way to add storage space to the present design would be to add a row of overhead cupboards on the wall above the stove, with a retractable rangehood under the cupboard which goes over the stove. Doesn't help with the bench space issue though. Expanding with what Helyn said, I'd slim down the cupboard next to the fridge as the pantry and everything else can go in the overhead cupboards. Gives you a bit more bench space next to the sink. You never have a fridge against wall as you’ve drawn.
