Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Feb 13, 2009 9:41 pm I really love the "Urban Mocha" kitchen on the porter davis website (it's at the bottom of the page) : http://www.porterdavis.com.au/#styles
I'm assuming this is a caeserstone benchtop, what colour do you think it is? I'm thinking maybe Ice Snow but it's got a tan tinge to it, I'm confused, lol. The cabinets also look like they are Polar white gloss?? And do you reckon that wall colour is Hog bristle?? Would be interested to hear you thoughts, thanks I don't think I'll call PD to find out the details, called a few other building companies and they don't give out that information. Damn nice kitchen, not sure, it could be Nougat which is not totally white, but not tan either. Could be Essastone Cairo, it is creamier than Basmati and have that size fleck. This splashback looks like my daughter's colour, for splashback groupies....like myself....who like the browns. Sorry have no idea about the wall colours. Re: What colour do you think this is? 3Feb 14, 2009 10:02 am PD use Quantum Quartz, so I think that might be new diamond white:
http://www.wk.com.au/quantum_colours.htm The cabinets will be polar white or white, the splashback looks too dark to be hogs bristle? It will be a dulux colour though. They use wattyl for wall colours so it might be HB equivalent. bench top 4Feb 14, 2009 5:44 pm The bench top looks like it could be the Pearly Shores one? Gee it's really nice, looks great with that splashback.. www.themaxbuild.blogspot.com forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=20717&start=300 www.leahspaperpassion.blogspot.com Re: What colour do you think this is? 5Feb 14, 2009 6:17 pm Ring them up or email them and ask them - I liked the colour scheme in one of their other ones - the kitchen in Traditional Cocoa - they sent me an email right back with all the details in it - from the tile colour on the floor to the ceiling colour ....
Very helpful Fion splashback 7Feb 14, 2009 8:07 pm haywgl, if you go to the Chocolate Splashback thread in Kitchen Corner, you will see that SuH says her daughter has similar colored one called Java Dusk. Maybe that's it? www.themaxbuild.blogspot.com forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=20717&start=300 www.leahspaperpassion.blogspot.com Re: What colour do you think this is? 8Feb 14, 2009 8:52 pm Talinsmum Ring them up or email them and ask them - I liked the colour scheme in one of their other ones - the kitchen in Traditional Cocoa - they sent me an email right back with all the details in it - from the tile colour on the floor to the ceiling colour .... Very helpful Fion ok will try, just got shot down by the last company I tried to get details off. Suppose it doesn't hurt to try then it saves all the guessing. Thanks for all the tips everyone, lets hope I get the details Re: What colour do you think this is? 9Feb 14, 2009 8:58 pm haywgl I really like that splashback colour too!!! Now I'm wondering if I can change!! Let me know if you find out the name!! I will, I've got the name and number of the PD interior decorater so will call her first thing monday morning. Re: What colour do you think this is? 10Feb 15, 2009 2:02 pm the colour of the stone is turino by quantum quartz, i could spot it a mile away...its my favourite. Kitchens are like finger prints, no two are ever the same!! Thanks Re: What colour do you think this is? 12Feb 16, 2009 11:29 am Just spoke with PD, they won't give me the kitchen colours. Oh well, at least I know the benchtop now. Re: What colour do you think this is? 13Feb 16, 2009 11:54 am That kitchen is from the Illoura Display at Lyndhurst. Wall paint is Wattyl Low Sheen Washable Velvet to match “Solver” Moondust Sharon never gave me the actual name of the Wattyl colour I guess they just matched it to the Solver one
Paint is lighter than Chalk Beige - maybe like a half strength tone similar to Bone but different to Flokati which is more of a grey (to me). Cupboards are Laminex Polar White in Vinyl wrap gloss and island is Laminex Ebony Macassar. Funny she didn't mention the QQ colour! We have QQ Ice and the flecks in the photo look bigger than what we have. Splashback is Dulux Arava, it's quite brown but goes with the walls and floor tiles beautifully. Loulabelle, did you know that you can go into H'toun on weekends and the girls in there can look up the colours used in their displays? I was in there yesterday, they were flat out but are always very helpful. Here is another photo from a different angle - Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ You know after looking at my big photo of this kitchen I am wondering if the QQ is Ice? Not sure.....looks similar to ours. Happy at Home Re: What colour do you think this is? 14Feb 16, 2009 1:26 pm Thanks so much for that information house-to-be, I really appreciate it, unfortunately living in Cairns it's impossible for me to visit the display houses.
I've got in touch with my cabinet maker this morning to quote me on QQ Turino thanks again Re: What colour do you think this is? 15Feb 16, 2009 1:30 pm Loulabelle Thanks so much for that information house-to-be, I really appreciate it, unfortunately living in Cairns it's impossible for me to visit the display houses. thanks again You are welcome. Sorry I didn't even look at your location I'm sure someone can find the answer for you if you have any more Q's in regards to PD. Happy at Home Re: What colour do you think this is? 16Feb 16, 2009 11:44 pm Nice kitchen! I don't know what color is that, but I love it and it's so clean. http://www.lionsdeal.com/ - Use coupon code: 'online10' and it will give 8-10% off everything on the entire website with a minimum $50 order. Re: What colour do you think this is? 17Feb 28, 2009 2:37 pm I went to this display home today - love the colours in this place! In fact, I've decided to do my kitchen in exactly the same colours.
Just for the record, I very discreetly compared my 3 Quantum Quartz samples (I had 'Turino', 'Ice', and 'Coral Reef') to the Illoura kitchen benchtop and I'm absolutely certain that the colour is Coral Reef. Just for the record, I very discreetly compared my 3 Quantum Quartz samples (I had 'Turino', 'Ice', and 'Coral Reef') to the Illoura kitchen benchtop and I'm absolutely certain that the colour is Coral Reef. Why does the Turino look pale blue on their website? The samples I saw looked just like Caesarstone Nougat? Am I missing something? Re: What colour do you think this is? 20Mar 16, 2009 9:28 am Definitely Coral Reef in that PD display in Lyndhurst - I did the sample test also!! I was shocked that out of all of PD's displays in Access, Lifestyle and Prestige in Lyndhurst there was only two, maybe 3 QQ benchtops - they just went with square edged plain laminates.
Anyway, if someone is in the South East of Melb and wanted to check out Turino in a display home look at Aaron J Homes in Cascades on Clyde. They have a brilliant set up using Turino (and stipple cocoa for the cupboards) - seeing it made our choice very simple! The colour is nothing like the sample colour on the website. No. It's not original. Circa early to mid 90s would be my guess and maybe even as late as early 2000s 1 6632 Looking to start the journey of becoming an owner builder in SA.
