We've decided to go the black/dark mirror glass , think its a good fit with the ovens and the other colours Cheers for the suggestions/help/reinforcement Re: Show me your kitchen... 2342Jun 02, 2013 11:33 pm we are doing a similar colour scheme to this throughout but we are using Polytec Createc high gloss Truffle Lini. We don't have a window so will be using large white tiles as a splash back and white wall tiles to bathrooms etc http://www.polytecdesign.com.au/files/P ... pp_Web.pdf Design by Greater Concept - modified version Evolution Court Build by Premiere Homes My build viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64854 Re: Show me your kitchen... 2344Jun 03, 2013 9:52 pm Sorry. Who would have thought it would be so hard to choose a white? The problem is, the carpet we originally chose has been discontinued. When we went back to Di Lorenzo for re-selection, H & I couldn't agree on anything in the standard range, so we upgraded. The new carpet then didn't match our floor tiles, so we changed our tile colour (which was a blessing in disguise as we went from a ceramic tile to a porcelain tile). In changing our tile colour, the kitchen colour no longer worked (another blessing as I had been procrastinating over our kitchen for some time ). We have agreed to go with white, thinking it is timeless, looks clean and fresh and would be an easy decision....wrong! I have been researching white kitchens for days and have narrowed it down to a couple of possibilities....Formica Snowdrift or Laminex Polar White. We are going polyurethane and are hoping that we can match one of these colours. We want a crisp, true white and these two colours are the only two that I can find online that meet my expectations. Our stone benchtop will be Essastone Crystal Chalk. Any assistance at all would be welcome Re: Show me your kitchen... 2347Jun 06, 2013 10:20 pm I went through the white laminex stage (but didnt end upmusing it )so have a pile of samples at home..the best white white I found is the Laminex Polar White and my favourite finish I found is the Crystalgloss clear Design by Greater Concept - modified version Evolution Court Build by Premiere Homes My build viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64854 Re: Show me your kitchen... 2348Jun 06, 2013 10:23 pm Or for something a bit different the Laminex pearl frost gloss vinyl door.. The Polar white turned me off because I prefer a cosy look to my home Re: Show me your kitchen... 2351Jun 12, 2013 6:28 pm Polar white is super white. We chose it as just white looked cream against chosen stone. Plus we wanted crisp white to go with some other stuff. Plus modern kitchen. We haven't gone for warm tones (browns/creams etc) All the whites looks white it's not until you put something against it you'll see what hints it has in it Formica snowdrift & laminex polar white are pretty much the same. I've got both samples Re: Show me your kitchen... 2352Jun 14, 2013 8:53 am We are also going for natural white which is a more warmer white - polar white seemed very stark to me.
