Re: Show me your kitchen... 49Mar 09, 2009 9:20 pm Gorgeous kitchens everyone
With regards to the difference in thickness with stone benchtops i'm a big fan of either 20mm or 30mm because I really don't like to see a join in the top no matter how well its done with either 40mm or even mitred joins which you can do to create a thicker edge again. We've had both 20 & 30mm and we're still trying to decide what we'll do this time but I guess it will come down to the budget. Here are some photos of my previous kitchen in 20mm Black Pearl Granite. http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c308/beck80/Old%20Kent%20Road/104586975al1201050579.jpg http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c308/beck80/Old%20Kent%20Road/104586975el1201050583.jpg Re: Show me your kitchen... 50Mar 10, 2009 4:41 pm Anyone else??? How much do these cabinet makers charge? The shell of the kitchen is the same in any kitchen but the prices vary increadibly. Re: Show me your kitchen... 57Mar 16, 2009 5:09 pm I edited this post to show the kitchen completed. I designed it myself right down to the last detail...that way if anything dosent look right its my fault The overhead cupboards had to be lowered because I couldnt reach them.
The big draws next to the oven are actually the tandem draws inside...nifty idea. All have the soft closing motion hardware installed. Probably not the most practical kitchen but I like it. We have a butlers pantry to the side as well. Granite top is Bianco Romano Cost...between 18k-20k all up. That includes everything but the appliances. Overheads were taken back to be re sprayed as there was some 'orange peel' effect happening. Not everyones style but suits a modern interior Mrs B Re: Show me your kitchen... 59Mar 17, 2009 10:39 am That is an awesome kitchen MrsB. That wood feature looks great, and the smooth long look really works. Great designing.
Our kitchen (pic above) cost a touch over $10k. Cheers, Pete viewtopic.php?f=38&t=8824 Re: Show me your kitchen... 60Mar 17, 2009 10:53 am Mrs B, your kitchen is stunning and well designed. I have to say 20k including granite sounds very very reasonable to me. Does that price include the fitout in the Butlers Pantry? You don't have to answer I know the question is a little intrusive....
