Re: Show me your kitchen... 1148Jan 23, 2011 3:34 pm sleven tonka Do you think there's such a thing as too much glass splashback? We have got our cupboards in (colour is Antler), and we are getting Ice Snow Caesarstone benches. I really want a blue/greenish splashback (don't know what exact colour yet - so hard to know what will look good!). We would have one main wall of splashback, behind the oven, then we have a long wall with a window, and a another 1.5m wall, with another window. I was tossing up whether to have the glass splashback on all walls, or have a neutral tile on the walls with windows. I'm now thinking the kitchen may look bland if I have my back to the glass. I'm thinking again of getting the whole lot in glass. Decisions! I would like a splashback a similar colour to the kitchen in this house http://www.realestate.com.au/photogalle ... ld&index=2. Any ideas what it might be? Any suggestions are welcome. That colour just looks like white behind clear glass (clear glass has the green tinge to it due to the lead in the glass) I think it adds a nice look and would look good - i don't think there could be too much in the space you've suggested! Kaytee- I like your colours! What's the name of the colour you decided on for your splashback? I'm struggling. I've got a little sample of the glass that I painted with British Paints Mainstream, and it looks ok. Sleven - thanks for your input. I think it's a bit darker than just white behind the clear glass though. It's hard to tell in photos. This link shows it from another angle, where it looks a bit darker http://www.realestate.com.au/photogalle ... ld&index=3. I wouldn't mind just going the white though. I think that looks lovely. Hi Tonka, The colour we are having is from Haymes Paints and it is called Blue Spark. Hope this helps A balanced diet is chocolate in both hands. You will find a lot of the turquoise in shops at present matches the Blue Spark. In our woollies supermarket they have the tea towels and they match really well. Also lots of the silicone utensils you see in kitchen stores match also. This a pic of our kitchen. http://i1006.photobucket.com/albums/af187/Kaytee50/Williams%20Landing/IMG_8241.jpg A balanced diet is chocolate in both hands. Hi Tonka, We have polar white overhead cupboards, osprey (white) caesarstone bench and licorice linea (dark brown) underbench cupboards with a blue splashback. The name of the colour is Seaview, from Premium Glass Splashbacks. We had our splashback put in just before christmas and I love it. It's a bit more blue than the one in the picture, but it has a beautiful sparkle and changes colour depending on the light etc. If someone can tell me how to upload a photo I'm happy to do so. Maddie[/quote] That sounds lovely Maddie. I'd really like to see a photo if you work it out. I haven't posted a photo before, so I'm not sure how to do it. A few people have mentioned uploading your photo to Photobucket and pasting the img code in the post? I think it's something like that. Re: Show me your kitchen... 1154Jan 27, 2011 4:55 pm Not sure if I've done this right?!?!?
