Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Feb 11, 2007 1:39 pm I have a space where I would like to put the above. It is 1200 wide by the depth of the bench i.e 600mm or the appliance cabinet can be 400/500mm deep.
Apart from putting 2 roll up doors side by side what are my other options for different door configerations and what are the pros and cons of the differnent options ? Thanks in advance. Re: Appliance Cabinet Options 2Feb 12, 2007 10:54 am A roller door would be the best option as leaf doors will open out on to your bench and you would have to clear the area everytime you opened them. Bifolding doors will be a pain too but to a lesser extent. Re: Appliance Cabinet Options 4Feb 12, 2007 12:41 pm Pocket Doors will still sweep across your benchtop, with the same consequences as any other type of vertically hinged doors.
Another alternative could be a lift up door(s) where the entire panel lifts out a bit then travels vertically - of course this means that you can't open the doors in the cabinet above while the lift up door is open. I too favour tambour doors on an appliance cupboard for the reasons outlined by renomart.
