I'm meeting up with my cabinet maker this week and I thought I had decided on what I wanted till I came across a website that had used timber veneer and I really loved the look. I have a gallery style kitchen.
I'm unsure of which timber veneer I like but am leaning towards the Red Cedar or something lighter.
So I'm now thinking along the lines of:
Benchtops - if using ceaserstone, Ice snow or snow. If using laminex, polar white. Am I asking for trouble getting a white bench top? lol
Upper back cupboards - polar white, these may be open cupboards
Lower back cupboards - timber veneer
Lower front cupboards - polar white
Front of island bench - timber veneer
Splashback - like the one in the link below. Anyone know what that color is?
I'm thinking of using Antique white USA on the walls and tiles on the floors (haven't even looked at those yet) unfortunately we can't afford wooden floors.
I'm getting my inspiration from this website: www.garsdenclarke.com.au then click on "gallery" and its the "white, white, white" kitchen.
Do you think this would look ok? I'm after something clean and fresh looking and don't really want to go all white, if we could afford to have timber floorboards I would have an all white kitchen.
Does anyone have timber veneer cabinets? would love to see a pic
