Up to you really if you want to go down that path, but i would stick to less fuss - easy maintenance products. Kitchens are like finger prints, no two are ever the same!! You can get polymer sealers but you still need to be careful. A more expensive method involves honing, sealing and waxing but where water normally collects (around sinks) you will still need to wax the area say every six months or so.
