LOLZ so if you Have this fridge what are your opinions? and what do you all think about this fridge? is it worth how much im paying? etc Re: we are going to buy this fridge. any last minute advice? 2Jan 23, 2009 7:17 pm Don't know about that particular fridge. I'm getting the french door version. We had a Samsung in the UK similar looking to yours and we loved it. No problems with it over 3 years except for a damaged door pull which they replaced with no hassle. Was gutted to leave it behind but not really worth shipping something like that half way round the globe! Was gutted to leave it behind but not really worth shipping something like that half way round the globe! yeah, the door handles are abit weak. ive noticed that aswell. you see, we really loved the french door SRS752, but where are you going to put the milk? our family has a minmum of 10 bottles of pura milk at any one time and we just cant fit any in the french door fridge. you know what i mean? also we didnt like the draw type freezer. have you found or seen around a french door fridge without the freezer? we arnt really worried about the freezer because we already have another one. Re: we are going to buy this fridge. any last minute advice? 4Jan 23, 2009 7:30 pm Hi, nope there's not many french door fridges around full stop and i definately don't remember seeing one without a freezer. That's a lot of milk!
You wouldn't like my fridge I'm putting up with for now. I can only get 2 bottles of milk in at a time! Can't wait for a new one! Re: we are going to buy this fridge. any last minute advice? 5Jan 24, 2009 8:24 pm We have a Samsung side by side - different model to that one though. Ours broke down 1 month before our extended 4yr warranty ran out. The guy had to come out 3 times to get it right. We also have problems keeping the temperature right. Sometimes the food/drinks just don't feel cold enough but then it seems to work itself out.
I also find that there isn't much room in the side by side fridge. A lot of room is taken up by the space between the fridge and freezer - can't fit large salad bowls or platters in, or if you do get them in they take up the whole shelf. I don't understand the problem you're saying with not fitting the milk in the french door style? Is there not enough shelf space on the door or something? When our fridge dies I wont be getting another side by side. Have you considered 2 free standing fridge / freezer pairs? Re: we are going to buy this fridge. any last minute advice? 6Jan 24, 2009 8:37 pm FWIW, unless I wanted to spend a fortune on a European fridge, I'd stick to made in Australia Electrolux. If that was still too pricy, I'd downgrade to the Westinghouse version of the same fridge. If the dollars were really tight, the Simpson version of the same 610 litre side by side would have to suffice.
Whichever version, it's an excellent fridge, consistently top-rated by Choice mag. Also it fits in a 900mm fridge space and requires minimal clearance above. And it's a great opportunity to buy Australian while we can... Cheers zeke PS If money was irrelevant, the Euros (eg Miele Liebherr (sp?)) are probably the best. And whats wrong with this 4 door convertible fridge....apart from the price tag!! We normally get 10 bottles of milk at a time too, although we freeze them, then thaw when needed. Re: we are going to buy this fridge. any last minute advice? 8Jan 24, 2009 11:13 pm I have the SRS622DSS and I think it is great! Re: we are going to buy this fridge. any last minute advice? 9Jan 25, 2009 4:27 pm the electrolux fridges are beautifully designed
why not get the fridge part of a pigeon pair, you get huge amounts of storage and not freezer. The e:line series makes a statement and because it one door, less seals to be replaced if ever in the long run! Oh and i hate samsung, they should stick to TV's and thats it, useless appliances Kitchens are like finger prints, no two are ever the same!! SmartPack did the kitchens for Channel 9's Home Made TV Show Re: we are going to buy this fridge. any last minute advice? 10Jan 27, 2009 8:59 am zeke FWIW, unless I wanted to spend a fortune on a European fridge, I'd stick to made in Australia Electrolux.
