Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Jan 18, 2009 6:40 pm I was waiting at McDonald's last night to collect my son from work and whilst waiting, sat at their little bench/stool area....I rested my arms on the caesar stone and holy moly it was freezing cold to touch!
We are having caesar stone at our house - does anyone else have caesar stone in their house and can you sit on a stool at your bench and read the paper, chat to someone whilst leaning your arms on it...and so forth without freezing to death? Is it always so cold? Re: Caesar Stone - freezing cold? 5Jan 19, 2009 6:03 am Also being a (composite) stone it has a lot of thermal mass - which is to say that it takes a while to reach the ambient temperature in e.g. an airconditioned room in which it sits all day, and then will take a long time to change that temperature when in contact with e.g. a human arm.
The stone will always tend to be around the same temperature as the average temeperature of the room it is in - and hence will most always feel cool to the touch. I have often noticed this with stone tops and it is either a feature or a liability depending on how you feel about these things. Cheers, Earl Thankyou for your advice. We do have Caesar coming out and hopefully resolve the issue for us. 4 18744 Depends how much direct sun it gets. Is there any shading (eaves or trees)?
