Hi, I'm new and looking for information...
Renovating my kitchen and have bought some under bench sink units.
Now I've started wondering whether they will be able to be used in laminated benches...
I didn't think before I bought them - smart ain't I???
The display had them fitted into a laminated bench. The cut outs had somehow been make to look like the laminated surface continued into the hole that had been cut into the bench.
I don't know if that makes sense???
What I mean is that although they were definitely mounted under a bench that was not made of a stone product, instead of seeing the ragged adges of the inderlying chipboard onto which the laminate had been mounted, the edges looked like the laminate rolled over into the hole and under the edge.
My question is really, in several parts...
Can under bench sink units be fitted to a laminated bench top?
If so, then would any respectable kitchen bench top company be able to cater for these circular under bench sink units? (or is this a specialist job?)
If I can't use a laminated bench top, can anyone recommend an alternative bench top material?
If I have to have stone type product for the bench top, does anyone know a good tradesman/company (in the ACT Region) that would recommend to provide and install cost effective stone type bench tops???
Thanks in advance for any advice or help offered...
Regards
Mr Hammy
