Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Jan 08, 2009 9:23 pm Hi all,
We are considering buying a Lofra 900mm freestanding cooker (Professional Series) from GG. We can get a pretty good price for it. Has anyone used Lofra appliances before or does anyone know about the brand. I've done a bit of research on Homeone but there are only dribs and drabs of info re Lofra. We are torn between this Lofra one and an Omega one, purely because of the Smeg influence on that brand but we are pretty clueless when it comes to it. Unfortunately, we are on a pretty strict budget so have to go the 'better' of the 'cheaper' models! Cheers!! ICK So glad the building is over, never again. Loooove our house, but still not quite sure it was worth all of the stress they put us through! Re: Lofra Professional 900mm Freestanding Cooker - thoughts? 2Jan 11, 2009 8:44 pm Hi Ian,
We've bought the one with the fish burner - still sitting in GGs warehouse though, so I can't tell you much about it. I thought the Lofra had a better quality finish than the Omega, but that's just my opinion. It had a few more of the features that were important to me. I've been told by someone who uses the Lofra that it is very noisy when in use, but they suspect it may be due to the way it was installed. I'll have to wait and see to test that theory!
