Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Jan 05, 2009 8:54 am hey everyone,
Can anyone recommend a good place in Perth to have a benchtop made up by? I've already had a quote from ARCA, Kitchens In Granite and a QasarStone but would like a few more ideas. Will be using a recon stone like caesar/essa/Q/sile - stone in a light colour and the kitchen is pretty much ready for measuring/templates in the next day or two. cheers Re: know a good StoneMason in Perth for a recon stone benchtop?? 2Jan 05, 2009 9:21 am These guys do engineered and natural stone. We are getting our benchtop from Absolute stone in osborne park. Pricing was pretty good. Ours came in at $3100 via the builders ( and they usually do a markup) for more than 6 m of bench. we get to keep the cut out bits too. If there are any. We went to the place ourselves and had a look. Luckily because the small sample was nothing like the real thing. We ended up changing our original colour choice. They were really helpful there when we visited.

Or one of the various other colours that isn't in that pamphlet. http://www.absolutestone.com.au/ Taken from their website is this comment--> Typically kitchen bench-tops can be supplied and installed for between $1,900 - $2,500. Re: know a good StoneMason in Perth for a recon stone benchtop?? 3Jan 05, 2009 9:59 am cheers mate, i actually went to them as well last august and their prices were very good - when do you get yours installed?
Not sure where there "$1,900 - $2,500." comes from though, our quote was about $5500 for around 6.5 to 7 linear metres in 20mm Q Stone!! Re: know a good StoneMason in Perth for a recon stone benchtop?? 4Jan 05, 2009 10:31 am we are building through wa c... builders. only just had our brickwork completed so far so it will be a few months before ours goes in. yes some of the qstone is very expensive. We were lucky in that we liked a couple of the base range choices. we also negotiated to get 3k worth of anything for the kitchen so we've only had to pay the additiontal $100
for it. To be honest I would think ours is closer to 7m of stone. I should pull out the plans and actually work it out. granite kitchen benches 5Feb 15, 2009 2:55 pm hi guys,
Am new member and currently doing kitchen reno. We came across this place in bayswater that sells 1st grade grano but also seconds.Fantastic place, very helpful people. Cheap oh so cheap!!!!. We will end up going for the 1st grade in a dark colour alittle unsure which one 2 x 2.800 x 650 20mm all edged $1,216-00,mind you this is not priced for installing which they quoted us at around $1,000 mark, could be less or more once they have a look(our kitchen is small) The bonus is that having to buy in the size slabs we are we have enough for granite splashbacks as well. The seconds start from $340 for around the same length, some are bullnosed, all colours. When we went for a lookie most of the dark colours had sold but there was alot of lighter colours.Stock changes often. You will find website under granite by desighn. Cheers hope this helps someone Block bought 1st RBC X! 2nd Ventrua,Keeper!
