Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Jan 09, 2009 1:48 am After we get our handover, which is not for a couple of months yet, we are going to be putting in a row of wall cabinets, an under-cupboard rangehood and a glass splash back in the kitchen. We have to get our splashback in before we can get our occupancy certificate... but can we get our splashback done first and do the rangehood and cupboards at a later date, or is it better if they were installed first before the splashback goes in? Can you get them all done/installed through a kitchen place, like 'kitcraft', or do we have to get them done seperately?
We are a few months away from being able to install anything, but I would like to have it all organised before we get our handover date, so that it is ready to go when the time comes. You can go to any supplier/installer of glass splashbacks (there are many) and get them to measure, fabricate and install for you. Any kitchen company supplying glass splashbacks would be going through a third party supplier anyway. You can also gete a quote well in advance by providing the fabricator with a dimensioned plan with the location of any GPO cut outs et cetera - they will probably have a display or selection list for you to choose which type and colour of glass you want to use. Cabinetmakers use MDF because its cheap… 2 9960 I would say both styles you have pictured are steel. The lower chord of the first pic would be a massive lump if made using timber considering the size of the rafters. If… 1 6151 1 13125 |
